Smart and crisp - something of a remake of the murder-avenging "Get Carter" from about 1970-ish. The film got all the good stuff from that, and Steven Soderbergh brings all the time-warping tricks he used in "Out of Sight" to the party as well. The mix is refreshing. This film looks like it was made for about eleven bucks -- no studio screwing things up -- and it looks like it was made for the love of filmmaking. Lucky for us, it was also made by people who are really good at it. A
