Movieville

A rare comedy that both pokes fun at and warmly embraces what it mocks; in this case, Star Trek and the fan base that calls it gospel. (It does this through the made-up "Galaxy Quest" show, but we all know what they're aimed at.) The result: no mean spirit. That's so rare it feels like a bonus that it's damn funny, sometimes even inspired, and the story and action are actually good, as though there was thought involved. Golly! A nice Christmas present. A-
